With an MBA and a background in executive banking leadership, Franklin has spent nearly two decades in corporate banking, branch management, and business development at globally recognized financial institutions. He is known for driving revenue growth, leading high-performing teams, and expanding commercial banking portfolios across China and the Asia-Pacific region.

Originally from Dalian, Liaoning, China, Franklin is happily married with two children. Outside of work, he enjoys guitar, reading, weightlifting, and sharing his love of cooking with his family. At Phoenix Energy, Franklin is passionate about helping clients achieve financial freedom and aims to diversify the company’s investor base by expanding outreach to Chinese investors.

As a Sr. Associate in the Capital Markets Department, John M. Donnelly brings over two decades of industry experience to Phoenix Energy. Holding a BS degree in Agriculture Education and additional courses in Accounting, Corporate Finance, Principles of Finance, Statistics, and Business Management, John furthered his education with an MBA-level course in Management and Marketing. His professional education includes Series 6, 63, 26, 66, and 7 certifications, along with Life, Health, LTC, and disability insurance licenses.

Having grown up on a farm in Northern North Dakota, where his great-grandfather homesteaded in 1890, he represents the fourth generation on the farm. His favorite part of the job is witnessing the excitement in new investors discovering the tremendous opportunities and helping them achieve financial goals that align with their family and personal needs.

Outside of work, John enjoys lifting weights, biking with his wife, joining friends for Bible study sessions, and volunteering in local food drives and church events. John’s contribution to Phoenix Energy is centered on providing opportunities by offering bonds to as many people as possible.
